A life rooted in movement, shaped by discipline, and driven by a deep desire to help others thrive.

I was born and raised on the peaceful island of Ishigaki in Okinawa, Japan. Surrounded by ocean breezes, green mountains, and fresh food from the sea and soil, I grew up living in sync with nature. I biked to school, spent much of my time barefoot—grounded and connected to the earth—and moved freely every day. That natural rhythm of motion, nourishment, and community still inspires the way I practice today.

As a child, I trained in short-distance running and volleyball, while also enjoying calligraphy, piano, and the concentration developed through abacus practice. These early experiences deepened my love for both movement and mindful learning.

After high school, I joined the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force as an aircraft mechanic, where I gained a strong work ethic, mental resilience, and an appreciation for teamwork. During that time, I also earned my Associate’s Degree—thanks to the support of many generous mentors along the way.

My Philosophy on Movement

These experiences shaped how I see movement today. Whether you're an athlete or not, young or aging, the fundamentals of human movement remain the same—we're all meant to move with the freedom and ease of a toddler. But the path to get there must be personalized. Each body holds a unique history, and that story matters, especially when pain or dysfunction begins to surface.

My Path to Massage Therapy

My massage therapy journey in the U.S. began with over six years working alongside chiropractors. While I was proud to help people feel better, I noticed a troubling pattern—many clients returned with the same discomfort repeatedly. I knew I could offer more than temporary relief.

That’s when I discovered NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT)—a powerful approach rooted in motor control theory and neuroscience. NKT revealed the “why” behind recurring pain and movement dysfunction, allowing me to treat the root cause, not just the symptoms.

Later, earning my Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certification took my work even further, enabling me to help golfers address dysfunctional movement patterns and mobility limitations. This comprehensive approach helps golfers, athletes, and active adults prevent injury, improve performance, and build more efficient movement patterns.
