About Me

A life rooted in movement, shaped by discipline, and guided by a deep desire to help others feel their best.

I was born and raised on a small island called Ishigaki, part of Okinawa, Japan. Surrounded by blue skies, emerald green mountains, and the ocean’s horizon, I grew up biking to school, running barefoot outdoors, and enjoying mineral-rich foods from the land and sea. It was a childhood filled with movement, mindfulness, and community—symbols of a naturally healthy and active life.

As a child, I enjoyed short-distance running and volleyball, but I also studied Japanese calligraphy, played piano, and practiced mental focus with the abacus. My love for learning and movement became part of who I am.

After graduating high school, I joined the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force, where I developed a strong work ethic, the value of teamwork, and resilience. During my service, I earned my Associate’s Degree with the support of many kind people.

My massage career began in the U.S., working under two experienced chiropractors for over six years. While I enjoyed helping people, I began to question why so many clients returned with the same pain and tension. Was massage not enough? Could I do more?

That’s when I discovered NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT)—a game-changer in how I understand and treat the body. NKT uses principles of motor control theory and neuroscience to assess dysfunctional movement patterns and correct them at the source. It helps reveal why a client’s pain exists—not just where—and gives me the tools to create real, lasting change.

Now, through a combination of sports and rehabilitative massage, NKT, and TPI physical screening, I support golfers, athletes, and active individuals who want to move smarter, recover faster, and take ownership of their body’s performance and well-being.

Massage therapy has deepened my respect for the human body and fueled my desire to help others reconnect with their own capacity for healing and self-care.

Today is your day.

Let's begin this journey together. If you have questions or want to k ow more about how I can help, I'd be happy to talk with you.

Thank you,
Miki Morrow-your personal therapist
