Policies

Your satisfaction and comfort are paramount to us. Before scheduling an appointment, we request that you carefully review and understand the following policies for a smooth and enjoyable experience. By booking with us, you commit to adhering to these terms.

Credit Card on File:

To secure your appointment, we require a valid credit card on file. This card will only be charged if you do not comply with the Cancellation/No-Show policy. Following your massage, you may choose to have your card charged, or opt for payment with a different card or in cash.

Intake Form:

Complete the New Patient Intake Form from your appointment confirmation email at least 24 hours before your session. Keep the form updated for any changes in your health.

Cancellation Policy:

To avoid fees, please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice or missed appointments will result in the full service charge.

Alternatively,

You agree to pay the full session rate if I provide 24 hours’ notice or less, or if you miss an appointment without notice. If, within 24 hours of my session, I experience a contagious illness or an unforeseen health or personal emergency preventing my attendance, I will promptly inform Yaima Massage & Movement, PLLC. If you are unable to fill my vacancy, you are responsible for the cancellation fee or session fee, unless an exception is granted at the discretion of Yaima Massage & Movement, PLLC.

Arriving Late and Missed Appointments:

Please note that the cancellation policy applies to missed or late arrivals, including instances such as family illness, adverse weather conditions, or emergencies. We aim to maintain a firm line for all patients, understanding that each individual has their own priorities. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to accommodate subsequent appointments. Regardless of the treatment duration, you are responsible for the full session rate. Please honor your therapist and fellow clients by being punctual.

Open Communication:

To ensure the best massage and movement therapy experience, communicate your needs, preferences, requests, or feedback at any time. If any distractions or discomfort arise during the session, notify us promptly for adjustments. Honest feedback, whether positive or negative, is encouraged.

For Insurance (Health insurance, Car accident, Workers Comp) patients:

  • Since in Washington State massage therapist cannot legally diagnose their clients, I need the diagnosis to come from a qualified provider (acupuncturist, chiropractor, MD, naturopath, physical therapist, etc). This comes in the form of a prescription. If the expiration date is not shown on the prescription, you must get an updated prescription within a year.

  • Your insurance agreement is between you and the insurance company.

  • Yaima Massage & Movement, PLLC will assist in billing, but you are fully responsible for any denied payments.

  • You authorize payments on your behalf to be made to Yaima Massage & Movement, PLLC. Release of necessary information is authorized for benefit determination or payment collection.

  • If your insurance provider doesn't pay within 60 days, you are responsible for the balance on the 61st day.

  • Failure to pay may result in collection agency involvement and possible legal action, with associated fees your responsibility.

  • Please adhere to our 24-hour cancellation policy (Insurance companies do not reimburse for missed sessions).
